Piano & Voice Lessons in Your Home or Online!

Piano Lessons Nesconset NY

We provide piano lessons in Nesconset in your home or we offer piano lessons online serving the greater Nesconset area.

We’d like to take the liberty of introducing ourselves. We are the Academy Piano & Voice.

If you’re anything like everyone we know, you are busy living in Nesconset. Life demands so much from us all. We take care of friends and family, we go to work, we sometimes make time for exercise, we make sure we’re eating – but how often do we take care of our self-development? Our own enrichment?

The families we know are running ragged, going from activity to activity – on a seemingly endless track of driving from one place to another. It seems we all need a moment of solace, a break, a breath of fresh air. Some answer to the question: How can we enrich our lives and the lives of our children without wasting hours of travel time each week? By having us teach you piano lessons in your home in Hauppauge.

Ah, the piano. The instrument that has brightened our homes and hearts since 1709. History buffs will be delighted to know that some of the best and brightest throughout the past 363 years have made the piano their best friend; individuals such as Emma Wedgwood (Charles Darwin’s wife), Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, and many many more. We want you to be the next of the best and brightest in line to play piano. We encourage musicians of all ages and abilities to sign up for piano lessons. There is no piano lesson too simple, or assignment too complex for us. There is no need we cannot meet. We are more than happy to send one of our university educated, seasoned, highly skilled, passionate, enthusiastic teachers right to your home in for piano lessons in the Hauppauge area or teach you virtual piano lesson online. No student is one size fits all, or even one size fits most. If we’re going with clothing as the analogy here, think of us as a fine Italian suit. We custom fit to your needs, every single time. Since communication is the cornerstone of every relationship, all you have to do is tell us all about you (or your child) – age, experience, skill level, and don’t forget interest! Not every person is going to be interested in classical music (let’s face it). There are a lot of Elton John fans out there! And if rock isn’t your bag, maybe blues will be. Or jazz! If you’re not sure, “I don’t know” is also a perfectly reasonable answer. We can figure it all out together.

We not only offer lessons and competition prep (NYSSMA, National Piano Guild, ABRSM Royal Academy) – but we also offer a completely private, one performer at a time showcase where the student in question can have their best work professionally recorded to submit to as many schools as they please.

We offer one-on-one piano lessons in thirty, forty-five, and sixty minute time slots. If you’re like one of the students we mentioned immediately above, you’ll probably need more time for all of that material you want to perform, you super achiever you. If you’re just starting out, though, we generally recommend less time – so you can get used to everything in a relaxed manner. I digress, which is fancy term for “I’m babbling.” We said earlier that we’ll tailor to you, so feel free to talk to your teacher about what fits your needs best.

What if Tom Petty started playing guitar that had some of its strings broken? What if Monet only had the kind of paintbrush you paint houses with? What if Julia Child was only allowed to cook with metal tongs?

If the point hasn’t been made, let us put it this way: In order to do great things, you need the right materials. In your case, dear future students, that means having the right piano. Please don’t get a used piano off of sites like Craigslist – you just don’t know where it’s been, how old it is, or even when it has been tuned. When it comes to learning piano, the actual instrument is just as important as raw talent or work ethic. You owe it to yourself to find a piano that is of good quality: less than 50 years old, tuned twice a year, and hasn’t been moved many times. Invest in yourself! It will be so worth it, we promise. We think the best place to find a quality piano nowadays is Frank and Camille’s. Check them out at http://www.frankandcamillies.com
